As a result of the professional development opportuntiy the week of Oct. 7th, I made a point of doing a good job with the lesson wrap-up. I also clearly communicate learning objectives and performance outcomes to my students by writing them on the white board using performance verbs and stating them at the beginning and end of the lesson.

It's going to be a long day...
After grading labs until 11 pm last night I am so... tired. After school is my first induction meeting. I feel like I'm always running. Can life slow down for me, please?

Today is the second day of induction. There is so much information that is being given to us as new teachers. Getting to know eachother as new teachers has been great. I think we all feel overwhelmed, but excited for our first school year. The next time we will all be together again is the first Wednesday in October. Let's have fun in our new careers! My hopes for my first year of teaching are to have my students LOVE science leaving my classroom and to shine as a first year teacher.
